A service is a subcontracted task handled by a supplier.

As with items, in CARL Source you can:

• Manage a catalog of services,
• Add services to the forecasts and performance of work orders,
• Make service purchase requests.

For each service described, see Service [General], you will indicate the conditions of each supplier offering it; see Service [Suppliers].

Status of the service

Status management allows you to keep track of services that you no longer use, either temporarily or permanently.

• Active: The service is currently valid.
• Inactive: The service must no longer (or not yet) be purchased.
• Canceled: The service will never again be used. This status is irreversible.
