Depending on the type of renewal of the contract, successive periods may be created manually by the manager or automatically by CARL Source.
Periods always follow each other jointly.
A period is considered to be close to expiration when:
The current date is greater than or equal to the period termination date.
with Period termination date = period end date - contract advance notice time
To modify the status of a period, see Changing the status of an element.
Tacit renewal
The user cannot add periods manually.
Period creation
When the manager validates the first period of the contract, CARL Source automatically creates the next period by copying, applying the revision coefficients according to the defined rule.
→ The new period has the "In preparation" status. The user can then change it as desired.
Period validation continues to be manual.
The user is alerted by an indicator that the current period will soon end thanks to the period termination date, figured according to the contract advance notice time.
Controlled renewal or no renewal
Renewal is carried out manually.
The color of the contract on the list (Contract [Results]) informs users about contracts to be renewed (termination date in the period prior to or on the current date).
When the period is close to its end, the manager selects "Renew a period" in the creation menu
.
The new period is then created by copying the previous one and applying the reevaluation coefficients.
